After battling it out in the league stages, the teams finally made it to the playoffs, the first match of which would be played between Delhi and Mumbai. Mumbai were on relaxation mode for the last few matches of theirs as they were the first team to qualify. Delhi, on the other hand, had to play until their last match and win it in order to make it through to the top 4.
Delhi had started off on a positive note, winning matches on the trot. But their campaign saw a little downtime in the middle stages when they started losing matches in a bunch. They, however, made a good recovery and finished the league stages at the second position in the points table.
Mumbai had a pretty consistent season which had a few hiccups, which the team managed to get past through with ease. Both these teams would want to win as the winner would get a direct entry into the finals. So, it would be interesting to see which team gets the better off their opponent in this game.
