IPL Fantasy League 2021 – Match 24, MI vs RR; Match 25, DC vs KKR – Fantasy Tips

The fourth double-header in the IPL season 2021 is to be played on 29th April. The first match is between Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR) at 3:30 PM IST in Delhi. The second match of the day starts at 7:30 pm between Delhi Capitals (DC) vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Ahmedabad.

This is a two-part article covering the Season Long Fantasy League team setup for both the matches, Match 24 and 25.

Match 24, MI vs RR

Both the teams have won two of their five matches so far this season and standing with the same number of points in the points table. MI is a settled line-up suffering with the batting failure. Considering that they are a formidable line-up, it will not take long for them to turn the tables. On the other hand, RR’s capacity got hit due to the unavailability of their star players. It is a mounting task for them to go ahead on the points table.

MI finally got out of Chennai and will be playing in Delhi after a long break. Considering that the new venue is slightly better for batting compared to Chennai, MI and RR batsmen will use the short boundaries to score better.

MI plays their next match in four match span and RR play their next match in five match span. So, we might not be able to carry many players to their next match. We currently have no players for this match in our season fantasy team. We will make two transfers to get the players for this match.

Players available for the Current Match: None

Number of Transfers: Two (+ One Uncapped)

Number of transfers Remaining: 75

Transfer Out:

Moeen Ali (CSK), Ravindra Jadeja (CSK), Ruturaj Gaikwad (CSK): CSK is playing their next match in four match span. All the other players in our season fantasy team play a match before that. So we are transferring out all CSK Players.

Transfer In:

Surya Kumar Yadav (MI): Surya Kumar is in great form this season. Against a relatively weaker bowling attack, he could be well amongst the runs.

Chris Morris (RR): We have a vacancy for the mandatory all rounder slot, Chris Morris fits in that slot. While he is good with ball, he usually gets very limited opportunities with bat.

Uncapped Transfer In:

Chetan Sakariya (RR): After getting Surya Kumar and Chris Morris, we are only left with 7 Credits. Chetan Sakariya fits in that budget very well. He has been the find of the season with his very good bowling.

Our Fantasy team:

Captain: Surya Kumar Yadav (MI)

Vice Captain: Chris Morris (RR)

Match 25, DC vs KKR

Delhi has won four of their six matches, where as KKR has won two out of their six matches so far this season. DC might be hurt with the one run defeat against RCB. KKR finally performed slightly better with the bat and won their last match by chasing a small target against PBKS. This is the second match for both the teams in Ahmedabad. The pitch was not easy to bat for many batsmen.

DC plays their next match in five match span and KKR plays their next match in six match span. We may not be able to carry any KKR players for their next match. We may carry few players from DC to their next match. Since DC is playing matches thick and fast, most of the fantasy teams will be having few DC players already. We currently have five DC players for this match already. We will make one transfer to bring in KKR players.

Players available for the Current Match: Rishabh Pant (DC), Prithvi Shaw (DC), Shikhar Dhawan (DC), Kagiso Rabada (DC), Avesh Khan (DC)

Number of Transfers: One (+ One Uncapped)

Number of Transfers Remaining: 74

Transfer Out:

Chris Morris (RR): RR plays their next match in five match span. So we can transfer him out.

Surya Kumar Yadav (MI): MI plays their next match in four match span. Rest of the players in our fantasy team play a match before that. So we are transferring him out.

Transfer In:

Andre Russell (KKR): Andre Russel hasn’t been consistent this season. However, considering his fantasy potential with both bat and ball, we can’t ignore him.

Uncapped Transfer In:

Nitish Rana(KKR)/Varun Chakravarthy (KKR): We will pick our uncapped player based on the pitch report. If the pitch assists for batting, we will pick Nitish Rana. If the pitch is hard for batsmen, we will go with Varun Chakravarthy

Our Fantasy team:

Captain: Andre Russel (If KKR bats first) / Shikhar Dhawan (If DC bats first)

Vice Captain: Shikhar Dhawan (If KKR bats first) / Andre Russel (If DC bats first)
