Preview:
Both Pakistan Under-19s and Bangladesh Under-19s sealed their berth in Quarter-finals from Group C. They won their first two matches against the weaker sides Zimbabwe and Scotland. Now the challenge for both the teams will be facing a strong Indian team in the quarter-finals which can be avoided by winning this match. Bangladesh were quite dominant in the two matches where not more than five players got a chance to bat. On the other hand, Pakistan survived a scare against Zimbabwe before winning it by 38 runs. Zimbabwe had things under their control till 35th over in both innings before leaving the hold.
Weather Condition/Report:
Senwes Park is expected to witness scattered thunderstorms on Friday during the game between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Pitch Condition/Report:
Senwes Park is high-scoring if we go by the matches it has hosted thus far. The three Youth ODIs here in 2017 between South Africa and England produced 240+ totals by the team batting first out of which two were chased down successfully. Earlier this week, South Africa posted a huge total of 349 and Canada did well in reply scoring 199. The rain-affected game between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh in this tournament also witnessed high run-rates.
Average first innings score: 286 (Unaffected Youth ODIs)
Record of chasing teams: Won – 2, Lost – 2
