Match Details:

The 29th match of the Women’s Super Smash 2019-20 will be played between Northern Spirit and Canterbury Magicians at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.

The match starts at 12:40 PM local time (11:40 PM GMT – Prev Day) (5:10 AM IST).

Preview:

Canterbury Magicians have had a forgettable season losing in seven of the eight matches played till date. They lost each of their first six matches before beating the Northern Spirit last week. They will now once against face the Northern Spirit who are currently on a 6-match losing streak. The Spirit won two of the first three matches during the first round but no success since then. The Sunday’s match at the Bay Oval will be the last one for the Spirit while the Magicians are still left to face Otago Sparks.

Weather Condition/Report:

The Bay Oval is likely to be under clouds on Sunday afternoon but no rain is forecasted during the match timings.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The Bay Oval witnessed back to back 160+ totals by New Zealand Women’s team against West Indies in 2018. It did hit at the venue being a high-scoring one and the Wellington team proved it on New Year day by smashing 201/5 against the hosts. It was a struggle through the chase for the Northern Spirit who were restricted to 122/9. With both Spirit and Magicians not in greatest of forms with the bat, we might not see anything over 150.

Average first innings score: 167 (Women’s T20s since 2018)

Record of chasing teams: Won – 1, Lost – 3
