IPL 2021: 3 players to avoid in fantasy teams for RR vs RCB game

In the battle of the royals, the two sides are coming in front of each other in a much different situation than one another. Royal Challengers Bangalore have won six out of their 10 matches and would be over the moon after beating Mumbai Indians for the second time this season.

Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, escaped with a win against Punjab, lost to Delhi and then Hyderabad, who has been arguably the worst team this season. Despite this, when Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals meet each other, there will be a great opportunity for fans to earn fantasy points.

Here are 3 players not to pick in fantasy teams for RR vs RCB game:

  1. Rahul Tewatia

As more and more of this season wears off, it is looking like that Rahul Tewatia was a one-season wonder. After putting up some crucial performances in the previous season for Rajasthan Royals, this season hasn’t been all good for Tewatia. He hasn’t got the best opportunities to bat.

The presence of Chris Morris has meant that if the team needs a pinch-hitter from the last five or six players, Tewatia isn’t one of the top picks. With the ball, Tewatia has failed to deceive players and ended up looking very predictable. Given the options in this contest, you are better off if you avoid him.

  1. Dan Christian

Dan Christian is a legend when it comes to playing in franchise cricket. He has won almost every league in which he has played. This was one of the more decisive factors that made RCB go big for him in the auction. However, he hasn’t particularly responded to the call and hasn’t stepped up properly in the role in which RCB would’ve liked him.

In the four matches this season, he has got four runs and no wickets. That sums up his contribution this season. He did bowl one good over in the previous game, but was it enough to convince Kohli to keep him in the team for the next is something debatable.

  1. Liam Livingstone

Through the English summer, there was talk about one player in white-ball cricket, Liam Livingstone. Quite rightly so as well. He was smashing everyone in the Hundred and also during the few T20I matches he played for England. So far, he hasn’t been able to replicate the same kind of form in the IPL.

He has previously got runs in Big Bash League as well. It seems that Livingstone is struggling to read the pace of the pitches in the UAE. He can hit spinners but he can also be dismissed by some quality. With Yuzvendra Chahal on the RCB side, one may expect him to get rid of Livingstone.
