Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals are all set to take on each other in Sharjah. The two teams have started off their campaign of the UAE leg in the IPL 2021 with some crucial points and good performances. The two teams look quite strong and will surely play out a match where the fans can earn a lot of fantasy points. Here are 3 players to avoid in fantasy teams of KKR vs DC match:
1. Dinesh Karthik
The Tamil Nadu wicketkeeper batter has been a regular finisher in the T20 format for some time now. He has the ability to manipulate the field and get easy runs in the death overs. He did that against Chennai Super Kings when he scored 26 runs from 11 balls. However, the fact that he is batting at no. 7 in this team doesn’t always allow him to come out to bat.
Like in the three games so far, he has batted only once, that too towards the end of the innings. In this game, Rishabh Pant is available as a wicketkeeping choice. He bats at no. 4 and often gets more catches given his bowling unit. It won’t be a bad thing to get him and avoid Karthik instead.
2. Lalit Yadav
Lalit Yadav was brought into this team as a replacement for the injured Marcus Stoinis. With Delhi already having qualified for the next round, it is quite obvious that the team management will decide to rest him and get him fit for the playoffs. This presents a great opportunity to Lalit Yadav, as he would be the first choice of any given day to replace Stoinis, given his bowling abilities.
This is exactly why the Delhi Capitals team is happy to even pick three overseas stars only in their line-up. The only issue with this is Yadav isn’t a heavy contributor, given his batting position, lack of game time, and the top-heavy batting unit of Delhi. Don’t be surprised if he is the least used player in this contest.
3. Eoin Morgan
Eoin Morgan is probably one of the charismatic and stylish white-ball batters in the last decade. There aren’t too many batters who have had a long and illustrious career batting in the middle order and chunking out runs regularly. However, all good things come to an end eventually and maybe, just maybe, we are in the twilight of Morgan’s career.
His form this year has been terrible, to say the least. He is consuming more balls, not getting to start regularly, more boundaries early in the innings have decreased and more importantly, there seems to be a lack of ability to hit the ball regularly and build an innings. It is better to avoid him in your fantasy XI.
