Preview:
Qatar team has been in great form this year as they thumped Uganda at home during the 3-match T20I series. They are continuing that form in the 2020 ACC Western Region T20 as well. They began the tournament with a huge 106-run win over the Maldives and gained confidence with a 34-run victory against Qatar which is considered as an upset. However, they were stunned by Bahrain which could demoralize them before the knockouts. Qatar will be up against the United Arab Emirates after finishing 2nd in Group A. The UAE team is an experienced one and have won all the three matches in Group stage.
Weather Condition/Report:
The sun will be shining brightly over the Al Amerat Ministry Turf 2 ground during the 2nd semi-final match.
Pitch Condition/Report:
The Ministry Turf 2 ground in Al Amerat has been a low scoring venue during the morning matches. One of the reasons for that is Iran batting first two of the three matches. Surely, the pitch will be far better than what the average first innings score suggests. Chasing big totals won’t be that easy either at this venue
Average first innings score: 94 (Morning matches in this tournament)
Record of chasing teams: Won – 2, Lost – 1

Top Picks:
Rohan Mustafa and Kamran Khan have been on top-notch in this tournament with their performances. Rohan aggregated 124 runs at an average of 62 with help of a fifty and also bagged five wickets in this tournament thus far. On the other hand, Kamran has aggregated 188 runs in three matches with scores of 88, 54 and 46. He recorded scores of 23, 68 and 43 during the 3-match T20I series against Uganda.
Tamoor Sajjad has been in good form with both bat and ball as he scored 50 runs at an average of 25 and took 5 wickets at a strike rate of 13. However, he could be too costly at 9.5 credits with already 4 quality players in the all-rounders’ category. Expert Advice:
Both the United Arab Emirates and Qatar have played with a core unit through the group stage. In fact, Qatar has used almost the same XI in all the T20Is they played this year. Hence, we expect both of our Probable XIs to be perfect unless any fitness/injury issues.
Probable Winners:
UAE will be the most likely side to win this match but Qatar could be dangerous in the current form.
