Preview:

Malaysia got better off Hong Kong in the first-ever official International match between the two teams played on Thursday. The first T20I, part of the 5-match Interport T20I series, was won by the hosts on DLS method. Malaysia posted 123/3 in 16.3 overs amidst rain intervals. Hong Kong got a target of 83 to chase from 9 overs but were restricted to just 61/8. Khizar Hayat took five wickets at the cost of only four runs in two overs he bowled in this match. This bowling performance now stands among the quickest 5-wicket hauls in all T20 cricket.

Weather Condition/Report:

The Kinrara Oval is likely to be under clouds once again on Friday but no rain is forecasted throughout the day.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The track at the Kinrara Academy Oval was quite different on Thursday from what usually we see at this venue. One of the reasons for it could be the rain leaving over little dampness over the pitch. Unless we don’t have any rain during the game, it is likely to be bit slower during the next half of the match.

Average first innings score: 165 (Last 5 unaffected T20I matches)

Record of chasing teams: Won – 1, Lost – 4
