Bahrain and Maldives, the Group A teams in the 2020 ACC Western Region T20, suffered big defeats on the first day of the tournament. The two sides will face off in the game on Monday afternoon as they look for their maiden win. Bahrain were thumped by the hosts Oman by an 8-wicket margin. Bahrain made only 83 before getting bowled out and saw it chase down in 13.2 overs. The Maldives conceded 196/4 to Qatar and later batted full 20 overs for scoring 90/9 only to lose the match by a huge 106-run margin.
